Cutting and Fixing Down Quickgrass Artificial Grass
We’re now ready to lay down the Quickgrass artificial grass! – Richard takes us through this important stage of artificial grass installation and covers cutting and fixing down the lawn.
0:13 automatic
0:16 so you’ve got 14
0:18 little galvanized staples
0:39 okay so we’re on the next stage now
0:41 where we’ve got the hardcore down put
0:44 the weed suppressant we put the granular
0:46 stone it’s all being whacked so now
0:49 we’re in the process of cutting in the
0:51 grass
0:52 so
0:53 what you’ve seen earlier is that they’re
0:54 cut back
0:56 and
0:56 following
0:58 following in with the edge system you
1:00 can see how close you can get I mean
1:01 this is going to be brushed up but you
1:03 can see you’ve got the the patio and
1:05 we’ve cut alongside the patio
1:07 and stapled directly through
1:10 the product which is the Cambridge today
1:12 so the Cambridge has been stapled right
1:15 the way through
1:16 into the quick grass edge system because
1:19 it’s so hard that is that’s not going to
1:21 come up that is that’s on there where
1:23 they put the staples and again you can
1:25 see on here it gives a really nice
1:28 finish to it so this is all going to be
1:29 brushed up
1:31 so we’ll carry on round
1:33 see on the wall around here got really
1:35 close to the edge on this wall you can
1:38 see you get really nice finish so
1:40 the edging system is you can just see it
1:42 there
1:43 okay and then it’s running along the
1:45 side of this wall so that’s a perfect
1:47 example where you can get a really nice
1:50 edge and that’s been stapled in all the
1:52 way down so that’s all nice and secure
1:55 so again those who’ve got dogs
1:58 you have dogs coming along and trying to
1:59 try to find an edge you know this is
2:01 secure and in there
2:03 some people on a DIY they just use pins
2:06 and drop it in which is okay from a DIY
2:08 point of view but you know as a
2:10 as a product you want to see it at its
2:12 best so we always recommend that if you
2:14 can use the edge system and staple it in
2:16 that’s going to make it really nice and
2:18 secure so you can see now
2:20 the grass car direction’s facing this
2:22 way so that’s going to be power brushed
2:24 back
2:26 but we’ll have a look at that later on
2:27 today
2:28 when we’ve stapled it all in
2:30 uh
2:31 just to point out for you at home so
2:33 what do we do about our washing line so
2:35 you got your washing line that’s been
2:36 put in just dropped a hole in there so
2:39 this will be this will be tidied up so
2:42 you can put your washing line in there
2:43 and that’s a nice firm secure post so
2:46 that’s again
2:47 those who worried about where you’re
2:48 gonna put your washing line so that
2:50 works as well so this is going to be cut
2:52 in
2:53 and you can see
2:54 over there we’ve got the other roll
2:56 and then with the rolls of grass
2:58 we always roll them so you take to the
3:01 bottom of the garden and then roll them
3:03 up so what we talk about is
3:04 the par direction so the roll will be
3:07 delivered shrimp wrapped up
3:09 you take it to the bottom of the garden
3:11 and then you’ll roll it up to the top
3:13 and then what that does
3:14 the par direction
3:16 is facing the house so as you look out
3:18 of your garden from your window and you
3:21 look at your garden the pile is facing
3:23 you so you brush it against the par
3:26 direction you can go
3:28 sideways on this particular product and
3:31 our products from quick grass do work
3:32 sideways on so the product would be for
3:35 example you turn it this way so you’ll
3:37 be going left to right or right to left
3:39 and then you brush it across
3:41 but ideally you always have it facing
3:42 there so that’s where we are at the
3:44 moment so we’ll follow on with the guys
3:47 cutting in
3:48 and then we’ll look at the finished
3:49 product shortly
