How To Measure For Artificial Grass

Example 1: For square and rectangular shaped lawns you simply multiply the width times the length, this gives you the number of square metres you require. For example if A was 4 metres and B was 3 metres you would need 12 square metres of artificial grass.

Example 2: For round and oval shaped lawns you use the length of the two widest sections as shown above. Multiplying A x B will give you the total number of square metres required.

Example 3: For lawns with angled or shaped areas it’s best to use a single section of grass and calculate the square metres required by multiplying the width times the height ( A x B ).

Example 4: For L shaped lawns we recommend you break up the lawn into sections and then add together the square metres required from each section. Using the diagram above as an example. If A is 4 metres long and B is 3 metres long the total square metres required = 4 x 3 = 12 square metres for Section 1. For Section 2 – C = 3 metres long and D = 2 metres long = 3 x 2 = 6 square metres. Adding the two sections gives you a total of 18 square metres.
